EVALUATION AND PROMOTION

A student’s progress is monitored every mid-term through the school’s system of mark reading.

Examinations are held towards the end of the first and third terms in each academic year. Promotion to a higher form is based on the final mark. The final mark is determined by continuous assessment over the three terms. An average of fifty percent or more for the final mark will merit promotion. First and Second Formers must acquire 60 percent to merit promotion.

  • 1st 10%
  • 2nd 10%
  • 3rd 10%
  • 1st Term Exam 20%
  • 3rd Term Exam 50%

Where in the opinion of the Headmistress, a student fails to profit from instruction given in the school, and falls materially below the average standard of attainment proper to her age and position in the school, the Headmistress may having obtained the approval of the Governing Body of the school, effect the students’ removal from the school.

No student will be allowed to spend more than two academic years in any one form.
