Meet Your Head Girl – Amelia Williams
Bonjour!
My name is Amelia Williams, and I am truly honored to serve as your Head Girl for the 2025–2026 academic year. I am in Form 5 Science, and my journey at GHS has been one of growth, purpose, and discovery, shaped by the people, opportunities, and experiences around me.
I currently serve as Head Peer Counselor, where I continue to learn the importance of empathy, listening, and creating safe spaces for others. I have also participated in numerous science fairs, earning the Most Outstanding Secondary School Project award and the George Phillips Award for Excellence.
Outside academics, I serve as a worship leader and choir member, which has strengthened my faith and taught me the joy of sharing it with others. As President of the Loyal Hearts Adalta Performing Arts Club, I have found a true passion for creating a space where students can express themselves, share their talents, and grow.
I know my age has sometimes made people look at me differently, but I have never let that stop me. I am deeply grateful for the trust that the school has placed in me, and I take this responsibility seriously.
To me, leadership is about service, compassion, and teamwork.
When challenges arise, I remind myself, "Pressure makes diamonds, Amelia, so endure today and shine tomorrow." This motto has taught me that all hurt is temporary, but the lessons and skills we gain last a lifetime.
As Head Girl, I hope to make this school year one filled with encouragement, teamwork, and excellence in all that we do. Always remember that you are loved, and take care of yourself.

Tegan Deane – Deputy Head Girl (2025–2026)
Hi,
My name is Tegan Deane, and I am honoured to serve as one of your Deputy Head Girls for the 2025–2026 academic year.
I’m proud to be part of the first-ever Form 5 Trade and Industry, where I blend practical subjects with the sciences. Before joining the St. Vincent Girls’ High School, I attended St. Mary’s Roman Catholic School, where I built the foundation that continues to shape the student and leader I am today.
Throughout my years at Girls’ High School, I’ve had the privilege of not just learning, but doing. From serving as President of the ISCCF and now as Director of Housewarming for Interact, to earning the SOL Award from Forms 2–4, each experience has taught me the value of teamwork and dedication. One of my proudest moments was working with my peers to win the Gillis Francis Math Competition 2024, proof that collaboration and determination can go a long way! Outside of school, I also serve as a church greeter and an official sailing coach, where teamwork and strategy truly come to life.
Becoming Deputy Head Girl has given me the chance to support my school community and promote teamwork through democratic leadership. I believe that when every voice is heard, we all grow stronger together.
As I look ahead, I’m excited to keep growing, supporting my peers, and making this school year unforgettable, for all the right reasons!
